I haven’t been to a nail salon since I’ve moved to NYC (2 years ago) and it’s because I use to be a nail tech and was very particular about my nails. Honey Nails is very modern, clean, and the staff is friendly. I had Yoyo today for a basic pedi and gel mani and she was amazing. I love my nails! This place was great! Very clean, very accommodating. I came in on a Friday afternoon because I was traveling and broke a nail. I called ahead and they said they could take me. I got there 20 minutes later and they took me in and fixed my nail. When I arrived, the place was very nice inside and better than I expected. I’ve come here 2-3 times and have typically enjoyed the service, but I’m really disappointed with the salon. I booked a “Powder Fill In” on their website for $60, but when I went to pay at the end of my appointment, I was charged $90 for the “Powder Fill In w/ Gel Color” and told that they don’t offer just the “Powder Fill In” option anymore. They should have told me when I arrived at the salon that they would be using gel and given me the new price or, better yet, they should have removed the “Powder Fill In” option from their website. Getting charged 50% more than anticipated was a very unpleasant surprise. I don’t appreciate the bait & switch and likely won’t be returning. – J Morgan

So far, so good! I came as a walk-in 3 weeks ago and decided to try gel extensions/overlay vs. dip powder to keep my natural nails long. I worked with Christy (?) who removed my old gel polish without damaging my nails, shaped my nails perfectly and worked with me to do chromed out magenta tips. Love!

I just went back on Sunday for my fill and worked with Maggie who did another colorful French tip style for me.

They’re not cheap, but the salon is clean and stylish and so far the work is impeccable. I nearly exclusively do a twist on French tips and have been looking for a salon that can execute a crisp line and apply gel right up to the edge of my cuticle so I can get as much wear as possible. I’ll be coming back until there’s a reason not to! – Hunter M

Good location & easy to make an appointment but the state of my hands & nails have never been worse. The acetone was kept on my nails so long that I had pruned fingertips for weeks! The gel quality also weakened my nails worse than other places. I won’t go into details about my pedicure but that was also disappointing.
