The light nails was when I came in and the red ones is supposed to be my refill.
I came in for a Gel-X refill and the nail tech kept pushing to do Powder refill instead as it was “easy” and “stronger” mind you Gel X refill is $35 and their colored powder refill is $43. I said yes hoping it will be stronger but instead I got a bumpy thumb, crooked middle and ring finger, and also inconsistent shaping. I came in with an almond nails and I don’t know what shape she tried to do with my refill. She also cut my cuticle areas on multiple fingers…

My first 2 visits here were pleasant. The shaping and ladies were nice, but I don’t know if I’ll keep coming back if their nail techs are inconsistent and will vary depending who’s working. – Jessica Flores

Bruh. I’ve been coming to onyx since they opened but today I was truly disappointed. I came back in to get my nails fixed after a rhinestone fell off after 1 day. So I asked them to please take them off because I wanted a different color. They argued with me for a good 10-15 minutes, before I finally said I’d go somewhere else to get it fixed she finally fixed it and this was the end result. She did it rushed, like it was an inconvenience, and now I am going to a different shop to fix this. Absolutely disappointed. – Mo R

Truthfully Onyx nails is a one of the kind experience. From the moment I stepped into the door to the time I left, I was taken care of and treated with dignity and respect! For one, the salon is gorgeous and clean. They offered me a drink upon being seated on their wonderful pedicure seating and one of the staff members even brought over a mini fan to cool me down without me even asking or suggesting! My manicure request was also far from an easy design but all the staff were so willing to try their hand and make sure I left happy! You can truly tell they take pride in their work! The salon is beautiful, but that’s unfortunately not enough for me to like my service. I paid for the 44$ Gel pedi, and it was only a 20min service… very rushed and a bit aggressive. I’m not one to leave reviews like this either. I did show them how messy the polish was and they fixed it, so that was nice of them. It still looked messy and thick after the “fix”.
