This nail lounge was the best! I called at 2pm and they were able to fit me in at 3pm, even though they were busy. Excellent customer service. Only waited about 5 minutes before being seated for my pedicure. They offered wine, soda, and waters. My nail tech was very kind and I had a lovely conversation with her. I’ve been going here for about a year now. I honestly love it and recommend them to anyone who asks. The salon is clean and peaceful. The nail techs are respectful. I love that I can text Taylor to make my appointment vs calling in. Taylor always make sure I and anyone who comes in feel comfortable and taken care of. Below are some of my favorite designs I’ve gotten from here. Two are screenshots of videos so the quality isn’t as great. They specialize in dip powder and I made the switch from acrylic. Leaving this review on behalf of my girlfriend, who recently had a terrible experience at Nailed and Lashed around the corner. These were her notes:

“I went to Vela because I had seen good reviews on Yelp. They had pictures of some of their previous work and I saw this really cute floral design that I liked. So, I called the salon and it was either the manager or owner that answered. Either way, they sounded very busy and asked if they could call me right back, which they did within about 5 minutes. I asked about getting a gel manicure and if she could fit me in that same day. She had an opening for later that afternoon, which I promptly booked. While on the phone, I mentioned the photo that I’d seen and asked if I’d be able to get the same, which they said would be no problem. When I arrived, I immediately noticed how busy the shop was. It was a really cute shop, and had all around good vibes. The lady that greeted me had me wash my hands right away and go to my station. Once seated, my technician gave me books of gel colors to look through while I waited and a bottle of water. When I showed my tech the photo of the hand painted floral design that I’d mentioned before, she told me that it was something she could do and what the extra cost would be (which turned out to be extremely fair). She helped me choose the colors and I left a lot of it up to her artistic interpretation. She was quick, but efficient and careful. Very high quality manicure service, and the design came out better than the photo! Even with the custom attention, the entire service ended up lasting only about an hour.

I’m writing this review about 10 days after service and there is still no flaw in the quality. Considering that I have since spent time gardening, doing chores around the house, and going on a hike in Zion National Park, there’s not even a chip! I even fell during the hike because I got freaked out by a wasp 😂

I will absolutely be seeing my technician Vy again. I have found my new nail spot!”

My mom and I walked in to get a regular pedicure and gel manicure. Everyone working was friendly and accommodating. We both picked out a regular polish color that they said had a matching gel shade. The pedi here was really great. However, the gel did not match the regular pedicure color at all. My tech said “gel is typically lighter” but we consistently get gel manis and have never experienced this. Further, 2 days later my polish began to fade, and appears to be more of a tie dye with whatever base coat was used, rather than the solid, darker lavender shade I chose. Each of my moms nails faded to different shades of coral. This is unbelievable for a service that totaled 176$ before tip. – Emily Endres
